The heroes in a half shell return in the video game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge - and Mike Patton has recorded the theme.
The classic Konami style style beat 'em up developed by Tribute Games Inc. and Dotemu reunites Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael as they kick shell in a beautifully realised platform game. You can watch the trailer below and listen to Patton's totally bodacious vocals.
Patton, a lifelong TMNT fan, shared in a press release that belting out the theme song was "pure pleasure. I channeled my inner ninja spirit to deliver a track worthy of my half-shell brothers! It was an honor to serve them...and finally I made some music my nieces can enjoy!"
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is bound for unspecified consoles and PC platforms. Dotemu and Tribute Games did not announce a release date.
Cowabunga!!
The enunciation is clear, but it feels slower and not as energetic, both for the vocals and the instrumentation. I don't mind the singer's voice so much as how he chose to use it in this instance.
